Bouquiniste has been a familiar presence at the narrow end of Market Street in St Andrews for almost forty years.
They buy and sell antiquarian and second-hand books and postcards. Bouquiniste specialises in Scottish & Arts subjects and sell a wide variety of books from other fields including children’s books.
Before they set up the shop in 1982 the family ran a book stall by the fountain on Market Street, and named it Bouquiniste after their love of France and of the book stalls along the Seine in Paris. They are happy to welcome customers old and new; students, locals and visitors to our picturesque medieval market town.
Many old faces return, sometimes decades since their first visit to the town.
