Before opening his first shop more than 25 years ago, partner and founder Iain Mellis had worked in the British cheese industry for almost 15 years.
He has a traditional, old fashioned sense of service and style whilst using modern technology to maintain and enhance the unique characteristics of artisan cheese.
Farmhouse cheese is made from the highest quality ingredients, using pure, unadulterated methods, resulting in a product of exceptional taste.
Over the years I J Mellis has established itself as one of Scotland’s finest artisan food shops and we are lucky to have them here in St Andrews.
