EVENT CO-ORDINATOR
Rose & Thistle are a local monthly makers market supporting the best-of-the-best local makers, bakers, and artists! Our markets host 30 various makers on the 2nd Saturday of each month and showcase a different variety each time, so each market is entirely different!
We are composed of 100% local makers and pride ourselves on being sustainable and eco-friendly. Our May 14th market will include a variety of handmade and artisan makes including: glass art, original canvas paintings, fresh flower bouquets and potted plants, macrame, precious stones and freshwater pearl jewellery, pottery, animal accessories, Harris Tweed gin lamps, woodworking, handmade cards, artisan soaps & bath products, an assortment of freshly baked items, belgium chocolates, artisan mixed spices, embroidered bags, textile art, barista-style coffee van, various East Neuk inspired crafts, handcrafted candles, handmade backpacks, bows, and clothing for children and much much more!
Each market supports a local, community charity and/or fundraiser. We really do have something for everyone!

Families First work with children and young people aged 5-16 years, and their families, with additional support needs, living in rural north east Fife.

STOREHOUSE ST ANDREWS
Storehouse is a foodbank serving the most vulnerable people in our community of NE Fife. Since 2006 we have been giving out bags of food and toiletries to individuals or families who are in crisis and are unable to provide for themselves. They may have lost their job, been through a family break up, be the victims of domestic violence, or had their benefits delayed or suspended. In desperate times we are able to meet their immediate need for food and extend God’s kindness to them.

NEW HOPE COMMUNITY HOUSE FIFE
New Hope Community House Fife is the charitable organization we will be supporting at the Feb 12th market. You can also vote for them at your local Tesco! (I snatched this picture at the Tesco, here in St Andrews this morning.) You can meet the wonderful people behind New Hope and learn more about their current housing project at our market. They will also be accepting donations of warm clothes and nonperishable food for those in need.
“New Hope Community House Fife is local charity in Fife who provide 24/7 supported housing to those suffering from homelessness and/or illicit substance misuse.

NORTH EAST FIFE COMMUNITY HUB
The North East Fife Community Hub moved into its own premises at St David’s Centre, Albany Park little more than a year ago. The original idea behind the Hub was a place to offer a support network and social life for those living in poverty, and the lonely, but it has evolved to offer much, much more, and there is now something for everyone, with more being added all the time.
As well as being home to the local foodbank, Storehouse, and the ClothesBank; there is a cafe that produces reasonably priced, nutritious food for everyone, supported by various businesses in town including Marks and Spencer, Pret A Manger, and Morrisons. There are craft, music, and walking interest groups, office or meeting spaces, and opportunities for people to develop skills leading towards employment.
Any support or sponsorship from members of the local community will help us to get closer to this goal.”
